About Aura Art

Aura Art collects and promotes choicest works of artists of calibre and strives to give such works widest possible exposure, so that people at large become sensitive to qualities that distinguish the extraordinary from the ordinary. Towards this endeavour, Aura Art eConnect Pvt Ltd has launched www.auraart.in, India's first online marketplace exclusively for curated fine art as well as Aura Art App, and a platform for commissioned sculptures.

In line with its aspiration to migrate to a fully Integrated Art House, Aura Art Development Pvt Ltd is stepping up its focus on Art Infrastructure Solutions - for Collectors, Corporates, Government and other Institutions - including the following:

Fully Integrated Art House

Navigating In To The Transcendental Space .........

Since its inception, Aura Art, as a connoisseur, collector and promoter of Art undertook a remarkable task in locating art in the mainstream as well as in the regional art practices across the country which is seen crystallized in this exposition where artworks of artists from diversified backgrounds and multiple visual cultural affiliations are brought under one unified trajectory. Right from Pre and Post-Independence attributions, Contemporary Indian Art witnessed a great upsurge in search of its identity till comfortably placing its legacy in the present art scene in the Global context, assimilating conflicting trends to project a holistic view of Modern Indian Art

If we introspect our art manifestations in the last six decades, specifically during the twentieth and early twenty-first century, Indian Art has made its presence felt on the world map through mapping of linear growth in a progressive sense. Shifting paradigms in the consumer oriented mindset, Galleries and Government sponsored agencies are certainly playing a pivotal role.

In the present exhibition, Aura Art is showcasing the work of a cross-section of artists from multiple generations who could establish very prominent landmarks on the Indian Art scene. The Show also includes the works of some of the most promising upcoming artists from different parts of India. The display encompasses three different categories of works: painting, sculpture and print-making. One can encounter a serene metaphysical plight within the humanistic visual narrative akin to an element of surprise whether they are figural or semi abstract configurations against an esoteric subconscious realm of image construct which is certainly elevated through controlled technicalities in each medium. Creative endeavours are never compromised by these artists in exploring various mediums, techniques and complex visual vocabulary.

This Show will certainly give onlookers a spiritual delight in travelling through this galaxy of artists and their revelation of an unprecedented world of imagery.

CEOs Message

I doubt if there is any other country in the world like India with such a multi-geographic, multi- lingual, multi-cultural and multi-religious backdrop. This has not only determined the way people live their lives but has also influenced art forms in distinctively different ways. We, at Aura Art, have spared no efforts to ensure that we bring to you some of the finest work India has produced in the art scene and an art-centric city like Vadodara has a Show that is unique and memorable.

Intensive search for artworks for this Show has been an enriching experience and yielded some precious collections. Three museum quality artworks on paper by Krishen Khanna, two rare landscapes in water colour by NS Bendre, etchings by K Laxma Goud, couple of paintings in rich colours by Thota Vaikuntam showing Telangana region men and women. There are other invaluable discoveries too of both paintings and sculptures including works by the master S Yousuf Ali, a large canvas by Sidharth from the Baramaha series, a stunning portrayal of a Horse in charcoal by Ajay De, a Saurashtra couple in black and white by Vrindavan Solanki, two magnificient abstracts by Yusuf, four magnificent bronze sculptures by Ratilal Kansodaria and an imposing bull in a seated position, by Dhruva Mistry.

Judicious application of the principles of wealth management clearly spells out the need to diversify into alternate assets, including art. The wealth creation momentum as well as the interest in art is only going to pick up in the coming years. The relatively low values of Indian Art, as compared to global values and the recent run up in values of Chinese art adds to the compelling case. The consolidation in the Indian Art Market over the last 8-9 years has made many of the Masters, especially those who did not witness significant promotion in the past, very attractively valued. Besides, there is always an interesting opportunity to collect quality works of promising artists, who are developing on the lines of the Masters. Focussed promotion of these artists, where quality and potential is established beyond doubt, will only result in significant price discovery, as the market is eager to latch onto new leaders.
