PO10TIAL, MumbaiBooth No AE 35

PO10TIAL is an organization established to encourage artists and provide support through a strong collaborative effort. The intention is to provide a platform to people to explore their creativity and reintegrate art within the social fabric, in a meaningful way. At Po10tial, a range of experimental artwork and activities crossing disciplinary boundaries would be curated to come together under one roof. The objective is to bring a large number of artists working with any medium, together and create a symbiotic relationship among them. The strength lies in togetherness and the sense of belonging to each other, just as the ten fingers together make the two hands, which toil hard to get work done! The 'no profit no loss' policy of the organization, bases itself in the integrity and genuineness of people. The idea is to take art to society in its entirety, from the representational to the abstract, the tangible to the intangible, the traditional to the contemporary, the local to the global; make it all available to the spectator to cherish for a life time!

Suvra is a freelance artist and founding member of dream project, Art@SFactor, for creating and promoting artists and Art@SFactor's HeART project - fund raising for charities while promoting emerging artists. Suvra very eloquently puts forth his jouney - "The search for the artist in me began since I was born. I have wanted to paint ever since I can remember. Painting is my true self, soul, breath and blood. My meditative concentration, solitude and a state of detachment (vairagya) leads me to art. But the most important factor that drives me is my strong belief in myself. I draw inspiration from my own perception of life, nature, world, nature and my soul's response to it all. My vision is beyond the obvious and manifests itself on canvas through colour, form and balance. My art is my meditation and I often find myself becoming at one with it and I feel as though a greater power is guiding me to paint. I often work with the female form as it embodies softness, love, compassion and aesthetics. This is my way of spreading tranquillity and peace in a fast paced mad world."

Suniti is a freelance artist and founding member of dream project, Art@SFactor, for creating and promoting artists and Art@SFactor's HeART project - fund raising for charities while promoting emerging artists. She very passionately narrates her journey - "I found the artist in me, once I started the search for my true self. Before long I found myself longing for a sense of greater purpose, identity and belonging. In this serendipitous journey I found a pencil, canvas and a guru, and thus began my search for my own true self. Being human is to be creative, individual and unique. To me art is a higher form of human expression, something that makes us truly human and then takes us beyond. Painting made me learn to fly, gave the freedom to be myself. It lifted my soul up from the mundane and provided me with a feeling of belonging. On another level, painting is my form of meditation and peace and gets me in touch with divinity. 'Heaven is not a place, and it is not a time. Heaven is being perfect.' And through painting I am seeking my heaven."

The Lexicon Art, New DelhiBooth No AE 27

The Lexicon Art comes from the house of Delhi Press Magazines, more specifically from Woman's Era. The unique thing about this venture is that it holds shows for mass consumption of art. Out of the last 8 shows, 6 have been placed in high foot fall malls. A lot of art pieces have been picked up by the first time art buyers. The underlining concept is to take art to the people rather than confining it to the art galleries. Moreover, Lexicon also represents major art works from the masters, within the on-site gallery at Sukhdev Vihar and a substantial website (TheLexiconArt.com) - which has significant presence in social media. It promotes emerging masters as well as the established ones. In the festive season of 2015, Lexicon will be displaying the art pieces in Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur & in the Middle-East. The USP is to present quarantine art which has a personal connect with the artists at an attractive pricing.

Swati PasariBooth No AE 36

Born in Kolkata in 1987, Swati's art is driven with a desire to bring out all that is within herself, while preserving the spiritual beauty of nature and all of creation. The philosophy underlying all her creations stems out of her firm belief that art has the power to heal emotions and thoughts. She attempts to capture those elements of existence which are eternal, changeless and hence infinite. To capture the infinite using finite tools is next to impossible... but she nevertheless believes in trying.

Pratima ShethBooth No AE 23

Her title "Perspective" is not so much geometric recession as much as referring to the reality of the inner eye. It also helps to see her paintings at a distance before coming close to analyse her technique and brushwork and the drip of paint. Today, she looks upon her perception of colours as a painterly expression, with deep emotional undertones. Her paintings are based on the thoughts of nature as she travel a lot and captures these thoughts on canvas.

Expressing one's deepest inhibitions is one of the most difficult form of art that there is. The art created by this 25 year old artist is not only insightful but also has a scoop of all that is dark, laced with brush strokes of optimism. A student of Rachana Sansad, she studied journalism before procuring a degree in Fine Art realising that her true potential lied in expressing through imagery rather than through words.
