Victoria Square Sculptures   1991-1993

The City Council, Birmingham

The flagship project was supported by the EEC for the heart of the city of Birmingham in UK. The site with grade one and listed buildings in the city square including the Council House, the seat of the local government required considerate proposal using classic materials like bronze and stone. The set of works include The River, Victoria Square Guardians, fountain of Youth and The Object(variations as lamp posts). Over the years, the square has created a sense of place with peace and harmony in the city centre. The project has been a huge success with large public sculptures.
